![]() ![]() I'm hoping that if I can remove it and clean the sensor with some emery cloth it will start to work again. It feels like an overly long spark plug and my spark plug sockets don't seem to be deep enough to reach the base to screw it out. I have located the flame sensor right above the spark plug but what tool is needed to remove it? It's in a location that you can not view it but have to work on it totally by feel. ![]() I believe the burners do actually light as I can detect a slight temp increase in the air the blower sends to the vents but for some reason the flame sensor is not registering that fact to the ignition control box. I can hear them when they are running and they will run for about 8-12 seconds and then turn off again. About a minute after the burners turned off they attempt to reignite. Then the burners turn off while the blower continues to operate. ![]() If the furnace is stone cold it will light up and heat for around 5 - 10 minutes. ![]()
